So wasn't ever planning on getting a 1 year shoot done but we scored this for FREE!
I was on Facebook one day (shocker) and just scrolling and find an advertisement for a photographer, elcadafotografi, from SWEDEN who was vacationing in America with her family and just wanted couples to photograph! For free!!
Totally hopped on that opportunity and emailed her some of our previous engagement/wedding pics and we picked a time and place to meet! Ryan was totally doubting that this could be real and completely no strings attached (which I kind of was too) but it turned out to be great! Great photographer, great pictures, and great experience! She emailed us the pictures a few weeks later and I am so happy we did the shoot :)
Ok so yeah I love engagement pictures. This may be our 3rd shoot oops. Ryan is a good sport.
Ryan was home in MD from California for ONE WEEK before the wedding in March so I literally had everything we had to pick out and decide planned to do that week haha. We literally had to do everything to do with the wedding in one week. I joke I was only engaged for a week haha because we were doing distance the rest of our engagement. Andddd it didn't hurt I had my makeup trial right before these engagement pics ;)
Shot right outside the Hotel Del in Coronado, CA :)
We may or may not have had a few drinks before this shoot..
The best story goes with these pictures....
I was still living in Baltimore, MD at the time and Ryan was here in San Diego, so I had planned this engagement picture session from across the country with a random photographer I found on Groupon (I think..?)
Anyways, the photographer called me when we were there, ready to go, and said she was running late!! And at the time I was like omg this is a scam....she isn't coming....people are asking us if we are getting married.....more martini's please... but it was true! She had gotten in a fender-bender :( and was actually about an hour late.
BUT thank goodness she was.
I mean look at that sunset and the natural light in the pictures! It's amazing! Definitely was a sign that she was late (not the accident part) and that we got perfect lighting at the perfect location.
