So in Monterey, along the coastline where we live in Pacific Grove, there are these "ice plants" that take up the pathway and during April and May, they blossom into this BREATHTAKING purple/pink/fuchsia color. Usually it looks like green plants, but when they bloom in the spring time - man they are everywhere and against the blue skies and clear water, it is just amazing to see. Monterey calls it the "purple carpet" and it is truly spectacular. Talk about inspiration!
I am trying to soak in this sight as much as I can while they are here. There is a running path allll along the coastline, literally in these flowers (video on my instagram) and it feels like you could run forever on a beautiful day. I went for a long run this weekend and the next day we went on a little bike ride, just trying to be around them as much as possible while they are here.
Here is a fun spring look in the purple flowers, but the pictures seriously do not do it justice! Link to outfit below :)
